Community Guidelines

From everyone here in the Community, we’re glad to have you with us! We’re a Community that’s for Parents, by Parents™.

If you’ve just discovered you’re expecting, new to parenthood, or a seasoned veteran who’s been through it all, we want to be with you every step of the way in your maternity and parenting journey.

We hope you’ll post and engage with other members (as the old saying goes, it takes a village) – and if you just want to read others’ stories and advice, that’s alright too.

We encourage you to visit often, ask questions, contribute and make connections. With this in mind, we’ll put on our parent hat and lay out a few guidelines to make sure everyone can get the most from our Community.

  1. Please welcome new members: They’ll be glad you did.

  2. Ask questions and participate: Get what you need, give what you can to others.

  3. Be respectful and supportive: Bullies go on time out.

  4. Stay safe and do not share any personal information or private content: If someone wants to name their baby after your mother’s maiden name (and looking for a good bank) – watch out. Kindly help out one another if you see them post personal information by dropping them a note or reporting the post to our Moderation Team.

  5. Do not use abusive or offensive language: Potty mouths get a bar of soap, and also possibly banned.

  6. Share experiences, not medical advice: Care for one another, but leave the medical care to their doctor. 😊

  7. Trolling, spamming, advertising and marketing are not allowed: You’ll be sent to your room to think about what you’ve done (that is, we’ll ban you).

  8. Endorsing or promoting a business or product is prohibited: Posts of this nature will be grounded and removed from the playground.

  9. Don’t shout (turn off all caps, please): Us parents get little sleep as it is and don’t appreciate loud noises waking us up.

Our community is baby monitored. If you have a question for our Community Moderator Team, please post your question privately. You can expect a response within 48 business hours (Monday–Friday).

Even though the Community is patrolled by a team of super guardians, we also rely on you to report any roughhousing or parents not playing by the rules. This feedback can help us address concerns as quickly as possible.

Thank you for making this community a safe, loving, and inclusive place for us all.
